Computers

The result of one survey shows, teenagers aged from 14-18 years old spend 12 hours per week on computer on average. It means computers are popular among teenagers. In fact, not only teenagers, but also adults, and even the old enjoy the life on the internet. There's no doubt that computers have changed people's life a lot. But why can computers be able to became people's favourite?
First, we can use computers to collect more information. There are plenty of news and information on the Internet. Long long ago, we didn't know what happened in foreign countries. But now, we are able to find the news home and abroad immediately. We can also save the information in the computer without coping it down on the paper.
Then shopping online is more convenient. There are various of things showing on the internet even the ones which are tough for us to look for in the shops.
After that, chatting on internet attracts more and more people. We can use computers to keep touch with our friends and make friends with others. Usually we caht with others by Email, but communicating by MSN or QQ is more popular among Chinese.
There are also many other reasons that why computers are liked by people for example, we can use them to relax ourselves. In one word, computers are very useful for human beings if we aren't drowning in them!

To be a lovely Shanghainese

Last weekends,my English teacher asked us to write an article on being a lovely Shanghainese..Hmmm.It's mine.

Shanghai, an international and big city,will hold the 2010 EXPO soon. In that case, Shanghai government has tried their best to make Shanghai a more beautiful city for several years. And then, as a Shanghainese, what should we do? In my opinion, to be a lovely Shanghainese is what we must do. Then how to be a lovely Shanghainese? It's believed that the civilization of the citizens in Shanghai is the most important. So we should promist to follow 'The Seven Don'ts'.It's the most basic. Secondly, we will meet a lot of foreigners then. So we should be warm-hearted when they get in trouble. In order to have a good communication with them, we should practise our English skills from now on, not only written English but also spoken English. What's more, everybody knows there are many differences between foreign cultures and customs and China's . So we have to know them and respect them. Let's be a lovely Shanghainese while looking forward to the 2010 EXPO and warmly welcome foreigners then!
